5 Quirks about me

I don't know why I even post this thing, I take it from my tumblr. yes, someone actually asked me the question. finally. haha

List 5 quirky things about yourself.

• I really like running and jumping around, if you see me walking down the street alone and suddenly I run or jump out of no where you shouldn’t be surprised. I just love the feeling when the wind hitting my face and the feeling of being up in the air. they make me feel like flying and feel like being a kid again

• I’m actually really good at reading people

• My friends once told me that I should join the ‘Funniest Man Contest’ They said I didn’t even need to do anything to win it.

• I love romance (and believe me I got moved very easily) but somehow I really don’t like Titanic or Romeo and Juliet. I just can’t see it romantic.

• I can talk REALLY FAST, and usually people would stop listening in the middle because they couldn’t catch what I was saying anymore.

My Class, My Friend, My Family SCIENCE 3!

I'm sure the title explains enough what I feel about Science 3. Well, I feel really lucky being put in this class. 

This class consist 32 people with their own quirks. Some are very loud, talkative and outspoken, and some others are very quiet. Each of us are very different in our special way. We don't always like the same things, we don't always agree on the same thing. But somehow we just click together. 

There are those who never get their hands off the book, those who can't leave the computer alone, those whose life really invested in games, those whose eyes are glued to their phone, those who always seem to be in their own cloud, those who barely talk, and those who can't be stopped.

The Raid

I know that I'm in the middle of Examination, and although it's not the big National Exam, it's still one of the most important exam. But I can't help it, two great movies release this week! how am I supposed to sit back at home and study when my mind is all over those movie? So yes I decided to watch both of them. two days in row.

The first movie I watched was 'THE RAID'

I and my brother had planned to watch this movie months ago, when it was shown in some Movie Festival, but unfortunately we hadn't got the ticket. I wasn't really interested at first, because I thought that Indonesian action movie must be very cheesy. But DAMN this movie proved me wrong

I'm not a good reviewer but I just can't stop talking about this movie.

I really didn't expect much from the beginning, I found the lines were rather corny, It felt like it had been written in English initially and then translated into Indonesian. But it didn't bother me anymore when they started showing the action. First of all I'm gonna warn you, if you want to see some heart breaking drama, super mind blowing complicated plot, and a movie that makes you 'think', you'd be very disappointed. Because the plot was very simple and rather cliche. But I guess when you watch this movie you'd have no time to think about the plot. You'd have your eyes and brain glued to the screen, thinking 'is this shit for real?!'

This movie is about a group of special cops, something like the SWAT trying to break into a Headquarter of a big criminal. But to reach the floor where the big boss is, they must survive the brutality of the followers. But basically this movie only focus in one guy. Rama, a 'newbie' cop whose wife is pregnant.

I'm usually never interested in action movie, but this movie got me hooked. The Raid shows fighting scene with intensity that you'll never forget. The choreography was BEAUTIFUL, there were various techniques and weapon used. Each fighting scene will leave you breathless. Also not to forget that they use 'Pancak Silat' here. Don't even get me started with the scoring, the scoring was really great, it captured all the emotion that scene trying to show perfectly,  I just found out that the scoring was done specially by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park!  wow. One of my favorites thing about this movie is, it doesn't use much visual effect and the fighting scene didn't use some crazy technology like most of Hollywood action movies. it was a real fighting scene, with bare hand and simple weapon.

And also the supernumeraries! I wonder how they got that much people, I mean although they didn't really fight they at least must had known somehting about fighting right? Those guys were really crazy, almost like zombies. lol

Iko Uwais (plays Rama) and Yayan Ruhian (plays Mad Dog) choreographed the fighting scene magnificently. There was also Doni Alamsyah who is blessed with overloading charisma.

Overall, in my opinion the acting of the main characters were great. Especially Iko, Yayan, Dony, and Ray Sahetapy. But I found some of the minor characters weren't good enough.  Still it didn't really bother me though,

After watching this movie, I still couldn't forget the thrill that it brought, and it makes the other action movies feel plain.

I really salute all of the people behind this movie. Can't wait for Garreth Evan's next project!

Encounter with a Stranger

Today, I went to the mall with Riza, Ami, Icis and Nawang. Riza treated us Pizza Hut for her birthday.

My mother was supposed to pick me up to go to Depo Bangunan. I really like going to that store, you know I'm very interested in 'building home' thingies. But, somehow Indosat (My cell phone service provider) decided that it was the best time to mess up the network. And in the end I failed to communicate with my mom, I went to the lobby waiting for her but then a bbm appeared saying that and she already left with my brother. I didn't know what had gotten into me, I was really sad,  and I broke down crying. Some people were staring at me, wondering what had happened to that girl sitting alone, crying in front of the lobby of a very busy mall. I'm pretty sure people would think that I must had been dumped by my boyfriend. it's not like I have one anyway.

 There were two bench. both were empty. I sat on one and then a man sat on another. He looked around and suddenly he asked me "Miss, is it a nonsmoking area?" I didn't cry out loud, but I'm sure he could see I was crying and yet asked me such question. So I just gave him a simple "I don't know", my tone was really rude. He was just silent. Feeling guilty, I finally told him "no it's not". He seemed to be a little taken aback by my sudden answer. He said "I didn't notice you were crying, sorry".  I only nodded. He stared at me and suddenly said "Don't cry in public place". I was really taken aback. Fortunately no one was there, otherwise it would be really embarrassing. There was a silence for few minutes, and suddenly he handed me a tissue. "Here, I have a tissue". I took it without saying anything. Few minutes later I left that bench and went in to the mall. Wanting to be polite, I gave him a very simple goodbye which he answered with a smile.

I really felt like I was in some kind of Movie, or a romantic Novel. That man wasn't really old, judging by the look he looked like around 20. He wore a simple shirt and jeans. He wasn't handsome, but he wasn't bad looking either. That moment would had been really romantic if it had stopped right there. But no...

I went straight to the Book Store, Whenever I didn't have direction to go I would always go to bookstore. I could spend hours inside without buying anything. Well, I was reading a book about 'how to draw using pencil'. When I was looking through the pages, suddenly I heard someone said "Hey", I looked up and I found that man standing beside me. I was kinda surprised. And he said "We didn't get to introduce, My name is ----, You?", I lost my interest right at that moment. I know where this was going. At one side I felt flattered, but you know me, I'm not a very sociable person, I'm not good at talking with people I'm not close with. I'm certainly not a big fan of being acquaintance with a random stranger. But again, out of politeness, I told him my name. "Nadya", The conversation went a little like this

The Man: is it alright if I talk with you? I'm not a bad person

Me : yes 

The Man: So, Are you still highschool or college?

Me: Highschool *hoping that it would make the man go away*

The Man: Where's your school?

Me: Somewhere around here... 

The Man : What are you reading?

Me : *showing him the cover of the book without saying anything* *continue reading*

The Man: Do you like drawing?

Me: Yes

The Man: can you draw?

Me: No

The Man: You know, you should collect all your drawing and bind them. You can sell it.

Me : *just nodded*

The Man: Or you can make a book like this one *pointing at the book I read*

Me: I'm not that good

The Man: But the drawing like these seem simple to do *the page I read was showing simple drawing*

Me: *just smiled*

The Man: You know, I also do designing but not on paper, on the computer

Me: I see

The Man: But I work in polymer making *or something like that, I couldn't remember*

Me: Oh..

There was silence for a while, and I took the chance to leave. "I'm sorry, I need to go" I said while putting the book. Not wanting to be rude I smiled. He said "Alright" But then he said "Can I have your number please?". I smiled and I said "I'm sorry but No". he was taken aback for a while and finally said "Oh Okay".

 

Well the sweet moment turned cheesy.

I barely looked at his face when he was talking, I really didn't want to be rude but I was not interested at all.
